I can often be found giving talks on different topics to groups and societies, both in person and online.

This has also included an 8 week course of lectures for Open Association, part of St Andrews University, on women in history in Scotland 1860s-1930s.

Here are the list of talks I do most regularly, though do get in touch if there is a topic you are interested in which isn’t listed.

  • Mary Somerville
  • History of the Usher Hall
  • Women’s Land Army in Scotland
  • Christmas during the two World Wars
  • My time as a researcher on ‘Who Do You Think You Are’ tv series
  • The suffrage movement in Scotland
  • ‘No Vote, No Census’; the 1911 census in Scotland and suffragettes
  • Women, Work and the First World War
